Sunday Stamps Meets MDS Monday

I LOVE MDS2+!!!

I have spent the last week exploring the fun of digital card making/scrap booking and I have to say I am hooked! Now don't get me wrong I will never say goodbye to my paper crafting but during busy times (or times when I am away from my craft room on vacation) digital is the way I will go :)

When I saw Holly's colour theme for this week's challenge at Sunday Stamps (http://sundaystamps.blogspot.ca/) I just knew I had to do something with our family Christmas pictures, as it just so happened we were dressed in those very colours! And I also learned of a new blog challenge which has just started and now that I have the software I just could not help but play along at MDS Monday (http://mdsmonday.blogspot.ca/)!

Our fabulous family photos were taken by my talented sister in law Melissa Kew. If you are in the Ottawa area you should really check her out! https://www.facebook.com/MelissaKewPhotography

Paper Piecing Paper Players! Say that 5 times fast :)

I was pretty excited to see that the theme at The Paper Players this week was Snowman! I LOVE snowman cards and when I was addressing mine last night I came across my favourite one of all and thought I would share him with you all today!

I was so happy to learn this technique a few months back, Paper Piecing - So much fun :)

I did it! I stamped on a Tuesday :)

This card I made for my best friend who celebrates her birthday this month. We have a fabulous day planned tomorrow. Lunch at her favourite restaurant, one of our favourite guilty pleasures - pedicures after lunch and then finally going to see our guilty pleasure movie (again...) a certain sparkly man whom shall remain nameless hehehe... The colour theme for this card may have been inspired by the for mentioned series!

I just LOVE things that sparkle and shine so glitter paper and heat embossing are my kind of embellishment :)

Flurry Friday Mashup

This is a project (a 3"x3" little box with 6 gift tags inside!) I made with my stampers club last week. I initially learned how to make it at a Demonstrator meeting (I LOVE going to Demonstrator meetings!). The pattern for the box was created by Cindy Lyles at Star Lit Studios. I absolutely love the Snow Flurry die and the Snowflake Soiree stamp set so this project was a good fit for me!

When I saw the Friday Mashup Inspiration photo this week I thought, how perfect!!!

Wish I would have had more time this year, but I can see myself making these as little gifts next year!

Just a quick post that I am squeaking in just under the deadline before I head to bed! Here is my Try Stampin' on a Tuesday card. It is the thank you card I will be sending out for all of the lovely presents we were given for Claire :)

All of the lovely photos featured on this card were taken by my lovely and talented sister in law. If you are in the Ottawa, ON area you should check out her work, as you can see she is fabulous!!!

Sunday Stamps ~ My MDS2+ Adventure Begins!

Hello Everyone! Hope you are all having a great start to your week :) Busy, busy bees around here getting ready for our vacation home for the holidays. We leave next week to Beautiful Nova Scotia where we will spend a month with family & friends, Claire has a lot of new people to meet!

So with getting ready for our trip and wrapping up the remaining classes and clubs I have on the go I thought I would take advantage of the sale SU! just had and purchase MDS2+ :) This way I will be able to keep up with all of my posts while we are away, because my craft room is just TOO BIG to fit in my suitcase!

Here is our challenge this week... Time to get sketchy people :)

Imagine all the possibilities that lie ahead with MDS2+! Two more reasons I went with MDS2+ are posted below. With 2 little ones my free time will be a little less so Digital crafting will have to do from time to time :)
